New BLM Field Manager assumes post in Kremmling

KREMMLING—John Ruhs is the new Bureau of Land Management Kremmling Field Manager. Ruhs came to Colorado from Winnemucca, Nevada, where worked as a Fire Management Officer.

Ruhs’ career has included work in the wild horse and burro program, firefighting and rehabilitation, and range management.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to be in Colorado and look forward to the challenges and opportunities I will be involved with in managing the public lands within the boundaries of the Kremmling Field Office,” Ruhs said. “Our task as land managers is to continue to find ways to ensure that we sustain the health, diversity and productivity of the public lands we manage while supporting the BLM multiple-use mission. The future of public lands is tied to the future of the people, the economy and the environment of Colorado.”
