For Release: Monday, March 19, 2001 BLM Now Hiring Fire Employees in ColoradoAbout 45 permanent employees will be hired by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Colorado for firefighting and fire management positions over the next few months. Most of these positions will be located on the western slope: - Fire Engine Leader and Crews - Hot Shot Crew Personnel - Dispatchers New positions will be advertised every two weeks on the internet at http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/a9blm.htm. Job Announcements and applications are also available at BLM offices. Pay varies according to the requirements of the position, and experience and education of the individual. Most positions include health and life insurance, vacation benefits, and a retirement plan. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years or older, and may have to pass a physical fitness and/or a drug test. -blm- |
