The Comment Period has closed for an environmental assessment (UFO NEPA #12-09) of 22 parcels proposed for a quarterly oil and gas lease sale in August 2012.  Approximately 30,000 acres are nominated, of which about 900 acres are private surface and the remainder are federal surface lands.  The UFO will evaluate parcels near Paonia, Hotchkiss, Somerset, and Crawford, Colorado.
