On February 7, 2013, the Bureau of Land Management announced the temporary deferral of all Tres Rios Field Office parcels analyzed for consideration in the February 2013 Oil & Gas Lease Sale.  Twelve parcels containing approximately 12,000 acres of federal mineral estate located in La Plata, Archuleta, Montezuma, Dolores and San Miguel counties, Colorado (comprised of approximately 68% privately-owned, 28% BLM-administered, and 4% state-administered surface) were nominated (TRFO NEPA Action #12-61).  Questions regarding this lease proposal should be directed to BLM Natural Resource Specialist Tracy Perfors at 970-317-1534.  To learn more about oil and gas leasing on federal lands, visit:  http://www.blm.gov/co/st/en/BLM_Programs/oilandgas.html
