The National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) requires the BLM to consider significant environmental impacts prior to approval of actions on public lands.  When an activity or action is proposed within the Tres Rios Field Office, BLM staff conduct an interdisciplinary review of the potential environmental impacts in order to make more informed decisions and identify measures to protect, restore, and enhance the environment.

The table to the right links to a NEPA register containing management actions completed in the Tres Rios Field Office during the previous fiscal year (running from October 1 through September 30).  Additional years will be added as they become available.
For more information on these actions, contact NEPA Coordinator Gina Jones at (970)240-5381.

EA = Environmental Assessment
CX = Categorical Exclusion
DNA = Documentation of NEPA Adequacy and Land Use Plan Conformance
EIS = Environmental Impact Statement

**An entry in this column indicates that the proposed action was conducted within one of the following special emphasis areas: ACEC (Area of Critical Environmental Concern), NCA (Natural Conservation Area), RNA (Research Natural Area), WA (Wilderness Area), WSA (Wilderness Study Area), or WSR (Wild and Scenic River).
