California Wild Horse & Burro Adoption Schedule

Wild Horses and Burro Logo

THANK YOU for checking out California's wild horse & burro adoption schedule.  The schedule will change as event dates are added, please check back frequently or call the contact numbers listed with the events for more information. We hope to see you at an adoption!

If you cannot make it to one of the adoptions listed below, you can visit our Litchfield or Ridgecrest Corrals Monday through Friday during business hours.  If you wish to adopt during your visit, please schedule an appointment so we may provide you better service.  If you would like, you can fill out your adoption application prior to arrival.  You can also fill out the adoption form at the adoption event.

IMPORTANT NOTES:   Adoptions are open from 8 am to 5 pm on the day of the adoption. The bidding begins at 9 am, except as noted.  Previews are listed below.  For all adoptions, after the silent bidding has concluded, any remaining animals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Redlands satellite adoption facility is now open by appointment only .
Please call 760-384-5765 to schedule a convenient appointment to adopt your next horse or burro at the Redlands facility.

The Ridgecrest Corrals can make appointments for weekend adoptions.  Please call CJ at 760-384-5765 to set up a weekend appointment to adopt a horse or burro! If you would like to view the animals, the perimeter road around the corrals is always open for viewing.  Bring your binoculars and a notepad to write down your favorite animals' numbers.
