Description: Annual herb 4 - 28 inches tall, with slender branches. Leaves spear-shaped, 1 1/8 - 4 inches (3-10cm) long, with a smooth or slightly toothed edge. The inflorescence is a raceme 2 - 8 inches (2.5mm) long. Flowers have yellow sepals 1/8 inch (2.5mm) long, and yellow petals 1/8 inch (3mm) long. Fruit is widely pear-shaped, 1/8 inch (3-4mm) long. Distribution: Habitat: Alkali bottoms, slopes, washes, or heavey soils. Elevation 1072 - 3216 feet. Flowering Period: Blooms March - May.
