Description: Annual, unscented herb, 1 1/8 - 8 inches (3-20cm) tall. Leaves thin, linear to spear-shaped, 1/16 - 1 3/8 inches (2-35mm) long, with the lowest leaves lobed. Inflorescence are discoid heads, with stems less than 1 1/2 inches (4cm) long. Each discoid head contains 5-35 disk flowers with yellow petals, 1/8 inch (2.5-4mm) long. Fruit are achenes, 1/8 inch (3.5-4.5mm) long. Distribution: Habitat: Serpentine soils. Elevation 2544 - 5072 feet. Flowering Period: Blooms May.
