Description: Deciduous shrub 1-2 feet (3-6dm) high. Stems and inflorescence covered with soft woolly hairs. Leaf 1/4 - 3/4 inches (6-18mm) long, 1/4 - 5/16 inches (3-8mm) wide, broadly elliptical, and strongly rolled under. Inflorescence is cyme-like with whitish-brown flowers. Distribution: Habitat: Dry slopes, rocky, sagebrush scrub, pinyon-juniper, sabalpine coniferous forest. Elevation 6080 - 10,400 feet. Flowering Period: Blooms June - October.
