Description: Perennial herb, 1.3 - 2.6 feet (4-8dm) tall, with dense-haired stems. Leaves linear, 3/8 - 1 1/8 inches (1-3cm) long. Inflorescence are flat-topped heads, 3/8 - 1/2 inch (9-14mm) across, with 45 - 72 white to blue ray flowers. The fruit are achenes without hairs.

Distribution:

Habitat: Sand dunes and hills. Elevation 9.6 - 144 feet.

Flowering Period: Blooms July - August.
