Description: Perennial herb. Stems erect, 1.3 - 3.3 feet (4-10dm) high. Leaf 2 - 7 1/8 inches (5-18cm) long. Leaflets 13-19 per leaf, 2/8 - 1 inch (5-25mm) long. Calyx tube hairy between the lobes. The lobes triangular, < 1/8 inch (.7-2.2mm) long and wide. Petals whitish - pale yelow. Fruit a bladdery, lightly hairy, semiovoid pod, 1 1/2 - 2 3/8 inches (4-6cm) long. Distribution: Habitat: Stony or sandy places. Rocky areas in open oak woodland. Elevation 2880 - 4064 feet. Flowering Period: Blooms April - June.
