Public lands in the Golden State offers many recreation opportunities.  Enjoy a leisurely drift in a canoe on a Class II river or an exciting ride on Class IV river for the more experienced white water adventurist.  Camp in serene locations such as the ancient redwood forest of the Headwaters Forest Reserve or the towering desert dunes of the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area.  Hike, bike or ride horses on hundreds of miles of trails or experience many of our exceptional off-highway vehicle areas.
