A seagull flies over the California Coastal National Monument which stretches along the entire coast of California and extends 12 miles into the Pacific Ocean.  The Monument includes 20,000 rocks, islands, pinnacles and reefs.

Terry Henderson

City of La Quinta

Terry Henderson is the representative for the City of La Quinta. She has been a member La Quinta City Council since 1995.

She is a past division president, and currently on the board of the League of California Cities, also serving on the Local Agency Formation Commission for Riverside County, and is the current vice-chairperson for the Riverside County Transportation Commission.

As the current chairperson for the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Convention & Visitors Authority, she is actively interested in promoting eco-tourism within the Coachella Valley and the national monument.

Actively involved with the national monument, she is currently the vice chairperson of the Monument Advisory Committee and has been serving as an appointed representative since 2001.
