Jeffrey Morgan

A seagull flies over the California Coastal National Monument which stretches along the entire coast of California and extends 12 miles into the Pacific Ocean. The Monument includes 20,000 rocks, islands, pinnacles and reefs.

Jeffrey Morgan sits on the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains Monument Advisory Committee to represent local conservation groups. He is a long term member and vice-chair of the conservation committee for the Tahquitz Group of the Sierra Club, he is also on the Sierra Club California/Nevada regional conservation desert committee.

Jeff was educated in England as a mechanical engineer. When he moved to the U.S., he studied real estate appraisal and became a state certified real estate appraiser. He is the owner of the Morgan Appraisal Services in Rancho Mirage.

Jeff has lived adjacent to the monument for 30 years. Through exploration and study, he has gained a vast knowledge and understanding of the geography, natural history and cultural resources of the area. He was a proponent of the national monument designation and continues to work on the planning and development of the monument.

He is a member of the Rancho Mirage Trails Commission, the Palm Springs General Plan Steering Committee and former board member of the Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy.
