Mr. Murguia currently serves on the Humboldt County planning commission and represnts transportation and rights-of-way interests on the council.
Mr. Murguia has a bachelor's degree in english and liberal arts from Humboldt State University and a master's degree in planning and developmental studies from the University of Southern California. He has extensive experience in local government and planning issues having served as a special consusltant to Five Counties Salmon Conservation Council, planning director and tribal planner for the Yurok Tribe, member of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and the Governor's Rural Development Task Force and Prime Sponsor Advisory Council (CETA). Mr. Murguia is a planning consultant and resides in Eureka, California.
