Mike Dunn, a member and the current chairman of the Modoc County Board of Supervisors , is the local elected official on the council. He also serves on the U.S. Forest Service advisory committee in Modoc County, the Modoc Medical Center governing board, and director on the Sage Steppe Restoration Project.

A respected community leader and Modoc County residient of over 32 years, Mr. Dunn is familier with the region served by the advisory council. He resides in Alturas.
