Jim Chapman

Elected Official

Jim Chapman has been an elected official in Lassen County since 1976 and currently serves on the Lassen County Board of Supervisors.  He has also served on the Susanville City Council and Lassen College District Governing Board.  Mr. Chapman was a gubernatorial appointee to the California Recreational Trails Committee and previously served as a gubernatorial appointee on the Lahonton Regional Water Quality Control Board. 

Mr. Chapman has worked closely with BLM on the development of the Bizz Johnson National Recreation Trail and travels BLM-managed lands regularly as a mountain bike enthusiast.  He hold a bachelor's and master's degrees in public administration.
