Tom Davis is a resident of Rancho Mirage and serves in a public-at-large postion traditionally committeed to Native American participation. He is also the current vice-chairperson for the council. As the chief planning officer for the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, Davis was instrumental in the development of the cooperative management agreement between the tribe and BLM regarding the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. He has extensive experience with multi-discipline, complex land planning projects. Mr. Davis recieved his bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic Univeristy in Pomona in 1973 and has completed post graduate coursework in real estate development. Mr. Davis is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners. His past volunteer activities include serving as president of a chamber of commerce and a boys and girls club.
