A seagull flies over the California Coastal National Monument which stretches along the entire coast of California and extends 12 miles into the Pacific Ocean.  The Monument includes 20,000 rocks, islands, pinnacles and reefs.

Ron Schiller

Ron Schiller works at the Naval Air Warfare Center at China Lake and represents the public-at-large.  Ron is a resident of Ridgecrest.  He is the founding chairman of the High Desert Multiple Use Coalition, organized to promote responsible use of public lands and support for multiple use and sustained yield.  Mr. Schiller has worked and interacted with the BLM on a wide variety of public land related issues over the past two decades.

Mr. Schiller has a associates of sciences degree in metals technology.  He has served on the BLM Ridgecrest Citizen's Review Committee, is a former board of directors member of the California Wildlife Federation, past vice-chair of the California Sportsmen's lobby and past member of the California Desert Coalition.
