David Charlton

National/Regional Environmental

David Charlton is from Newberry Springs and represents botanical interests as a renewable resource representative.  He is an accomplished botanist and has conducted field studies throughout the southwestern states, including extensive experience in the California deserts.  He is an expert on native desert flora, and is knowledgeable of the sensitive species throughout the Mojave Desert area.

Mr. Charlton holds a bachelor's degree in ornamental horticulture and an master's degree in agriculture from Cal Poly, and is the vice president of the Mojave Chapter, California Native Plant Society.
