Central California Resource Advisory Council Mission Statement

The Central California Resource Advisory Council will serve as a bridge between the local public and the Bureau of Land Management to enhance management of public lands for the health, diversity and productivity of BLM natural resources, the benefit of local communities, and the enjoyment and use by present and future generations. The Council will promote stewardship of BLM lands to sustain economic and environmental values by acting to:

    * Promote collaboration between the public, BLM, other agencies and stakeholders

    * Advise BLM in setting, refining and achieving resource management goals

    * Assist BLM in making and implementing land use policy and decisions

    * Seek forward looking strategies to resolve public land issues

    * Act boldly to influence BLM policy at all levels

    * Provide guidance where BLM policy is lacking

    * Provide feedback from the public to help BLM reach management goals
