William Vanherweg

National/Regional Environmental

William Vanherweg has lived and worked in Central California for more than 35 years.  He has fourteen years of experience as a wildlife biologist in the San Joaquin Valley, Sierra Nevada and Mojave Desert.  William specializes in working with endangered species issues as they relate to NEPA and CEQA compliance.   His year consulting with public agencies has given him the insight necessary to solve sensitive problems before they escalate.  His experiences include being a biological lead on urban and industrial developments, supervising biological survey and monitoring teams, and managing sensitive wildlife resources on a habitat reserve.

Mr. Vanherweg has a bachelor's degree in rangeland wildlife ecology and graduate work in environmental biology.  Mr. Vanherweg is a certified biologist and a member of the San Joaquin Chapter of the Wildlife Society, California Native Plants Society and the American Society of Mammalogists.
