Mr. McFarland is the executive director of Friends of Inyo, a non-profit, locally based, grassroots, conservation organization, dedicated to preserving the public lands and wildlife within the eastern Sierra through education, advocacy and stewardship. He is a member of the California State Parks Off-highway Division Stakeholders Roundtable and regional planning and advisory group. Mr. McFarland represents environmental interests on the advisory council. Mr. McFarland holds a bachelor of arts degree in geology for the University of California, Davis.
