BLM Seeks Input on California State Parks Grant Application


The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Needles Field Office (NFO) is submitting a grant application to the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVRD) to help manage off-highway vehicle recreation opportunities on public lands.

The preliminary application will be available on the OHMVRD's website at http://www.ohv.parks.ca.gov/ for review and comment from Tuesday, March 4, 2014 through Monday, April 7, 2014.  The division's website will provide detailed instructions for accessing the preliminary application and submitting comments.  Note, comments must be submitted via email to both the OHMVRD and the Needles Field Office.  Comments to the NFO should be submitted to David Roan, OHV Grant Administrator at droan@blm.gov.

The Needles Field office is requesting funding for Operations and Maintenance, Law Enforcement, Planning, and Education and is inviting public comments on its preliminary grant application. 

Copies of the grant application are available after March 4, 2014 at BLM's Needles Field Office, as well as the BLM Desert District Office in Moreno Valley, and the state office in Sacramento.  Information is also available on BLM's website at http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/prog/recreation.html
