King Range Winter Lecture Series Starts Jan. 7


"Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases," a free lecture, will kick off the King Range Winter Lecture Series Tuesday, Jan.7, at 7 p.m., at the Healy Senior Center, 456 Briceland Rd. in Redway.

This season's free lectures, all offered on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at the Healy Center, include:

  • Wilderness Photography, Tricks and Tips, Jan. 21.
  • The Rising Seas, Feb. 4.
  • Catching Fire: A Move and Discussion, Feb. 18.
  • Where is all the Tsunami Debris?, March 4
  • Sperm Meets Egg. Then What?, March 18

The lectures feature subject matter experts. They are offered each year by the Bureau of Land Management King Range National Conservation Area and the Lost Coast Interpretive Association.
