BLM Has Openings on Resource Advisory Council


The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has two openings on its Northwest California Resource Advisory Council, which advises the agency on diverse public land and natural resource issues. The nomination deadline has been extended to April 29.

Both openings are to fill one-year terms in a membership category representing local elected officials, the public at large, Native American tribal interests, teachers involved with science and natural resources, and state agencies involved with natural resources.

Nomination forms and supporting letters should be returned to: Bureau of Land Management, 2950 Riverside Dr., Susanville, CA 96130, attention: RAC nominations.

Nominees must be California residents knowledgeable in the field for which they are nominated. They must have an interest in working collaboratively to find solutions to natural resource management issues.

The Northwest California RAC works closely with the BLM’s northern California district manager and field managers in Arcata, Redding and Ukiah.
