BLM Hollister Field Office Lifts Fire Restrictions Saturday |
||||||
|
Fire restrictions for public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management’s Hollister Field Office in the Panoche, Tumey and Grisswold hills will be rescinded beginning Saturday, Oct. 27. Recent precipitation and seasonal changes, combined with increased humidity and cooler temperatures, have prompted the lifting of fire restrictions in the area. The fire danger is expected to be low throughout the coming months. Although the fire restrictions are lifted, the Hollister Field Office fire staff would like to remind the public when recreating outdoors to continue to use caution to decrease the chance of human-caused fires and avoid resource and property damage. For further information please contact Michael Chiodini of the Hollister Field Office at (831) 630-5029. |
