BLM Mother Lode Office Plans Pile Burning in Calaveras County

The Bureau of Land Management’s Mother Lode Field Office plans to burn small piles of brush in the West Point/Glencoe area of Calaveras County starting this week.

Pile burning will continue through the winter as weather conditions allow.

BLM will burn small piles of brush that were created while building fuel breaks, said Brian Mulhollen, BLM fuels management specialist.
