Nomination Period Extended for Carrizo Plain National Monument Advisory Committee
The Bureau of Land Management is extending the nomination period for the Carrizo Plain National Monument Advisory Committee through December 31, 2012.
The 10-member committee advises the Bureau of Land Management on resource management issues at the monument, which sits on the border between San Luis Obispo and Kern counties.
Nominations will now be accepted through Dec. 31 and should be sent to Monument Manager, 3801 Pegasus Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93308. Nomination forms are available on the web at http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/info/rac/cpnmac.html
The following must accompany all nominations: support letters from represented interests or organizations, a completed background information nomination form and any other information that demonstrates the nominee's qualifications.
Individuals may nominate themselves or others to the MAC. Nominees must be residents of the counties or neighboring county in which the MAC has jurisdiction. The BLM will evaluate nominees based on their education, training, experience and knowledge of the geographical area of the MAC.
