Public Invited to Review BLM Bakersfield's OHV Grant Applications |
||||||
|
The public is invited to comment on applications the Bureau of Land Management’s Bakersfield Field Office has submitted to the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division. The OHVMR grants and cooperative agreements program supports well-managed off-highway vehicle recreation in California by providing financial assistance to cities, counties, districts, federal agencies (including the BLM), state agencies, educational institutions, federally recognized Native American tribes and nonprofit entities. Preliminary applications are available on the division website at www.ohv.parks.ca.gov for review and comment through Monday, April 2. The website also provides detailed instructions for accessing the preliminary application and submitting comments. The Bakersfield Field Office is requesting funds for law enforcement, planning and restoring OHV trespass areas. Funds would be used in fiscal year 2013. Any comments should be sent to both the OHMVR Division and the Bakersfield Field Office. Comments can be mailed to BLM, ATTN: Peter De Witt, 3801 Pegasus Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93308 or e-mailed to bakersfield@blm.gov. |
