Alabama Hills Stewardship Group to Hold General Meeting

The Alabama Hills Stewardship Group will hold a meeting on Thursday Dec. 26 at 6:00 p.m

The meeting will be held at the Lone Pine Film History Museum at 701 South Main Street in Lone Pine. The agenda will include a discussion on a potential name change for the organization from “The Alabama Hills Stewardship Group” to “Friends of the Alabama Hills”. The public is invited to attend.

In 2006, the BLM Resource Advisory Council met in Lone Pine and expressed its support for the BLM to build upon the grass roots effort of local leaders to frame a community strategy with the goal of maintaining the character of the Alabama Hills.
