BLM Pit River Campground Closed for Season |

|
The Bureau of Land Management’s Pit River Campground near Fall River Mills has closed for the winter. The day use area and kayak launch site will remain open to walk-in visitors. BLM officials plan to reopen the campground in time for the opening of the stream fishing season next April. Even though many northern California campgrounds are closed for winter, most BLM-managed public lands are open for dispersed camping. Information on public land camping can be found online at http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/prog/recreation/camping.html. Campfire permits are required, and can be obtained free at any BLM office. BLM officials ask that campers pack out their trash. |
