Astronomy Topic of First in King Range Winter Lecture Series


Astronomer and physics professor Dr. David Kornreich will present “Beyond the Clouds: Astronomy,” Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Healy Senior Center, 456 Briceland Rd., in Redway.

Dr. Kornreich received his undergraduate degree from Caltech in 1995 and his doctorate from Cornell University in 2000.  He is currently a professor of astronomy and physics at Humboldt State University.

He continues at teach astronomy at Cornell during summers, and spends time as a staff astronomer at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico.  The observatory is home to the world’s largest single dish radio telescope.
