Construction Will Delay Traffic On Merced River Recreation Area Access Road

Traffic on the Bureau of Land Management’s Merced River Recreation Area access road will be subject to two-hour delays beginning Sept. 9 and continuing through Nov. 6.

Delays will affect vehicle access below Briceburg, the Burma Grade, and the three campgrounds--McCabe Flat, Willow Placer, and Railroad Flat.  There will be several road and water system improvement projects during this time. The public can still access the river, but should be prepared for traffic delays.
