BLM Northwest Resource Advisory Council Meets March 26-27 in Redding

The Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Northwest California Resource Advisory Council will discuss various natural resource topics when it meets Thursday and Friday, March 26-27, in Redding for a field tour and business session.  The tour and meeting are open to the public.
 
On March 26, members will convene at 10 a.m. at the BLM Redding Field Office, 355 Hemsted Dr., and then tour newly-developed recreational trails on BLM-managed public lands in the Redding area.
 
The council will convene a business session on March 27, at 8 a.m., in the conference room of the BLM Redding Field Office.  A public comment period is set for 11 a.m.
 
The 12-member citizen council works closely with BLM managers from Redding, Arcata and Ukiah, advising on all aspects of the BLM’s land management and natural resource conservation mission.
 
Members represent a broad range of public land interest areas including recreation, timber, recreation, environmental groups, transportation and rights of way, commercial recreation, off-highway vehicle users, local government and the public at large.
 
The council is one of 24 BLM resource advisory councils in the Western states.
