BLM's California Desert Advisory Council Meeting Postponed

The Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) California Desert Advisory Council set for June 19-20 has been postponed.  Although a new date has not been set, BLM plans to schedule it for a Friday/Saturday in August.

BLM California Desert District Manager Steve Borchard said, “BLM regrets any inconvenience the postponement may cause.  We’re postponing the meeting awaiting appointment of new members to the council.  In addition, we also want to ensure that everyone, including the interested public, has adequate time to prepare for the next council meeting.”

BLM will place notice of the next meeting, agenda items, and its location in the Federal Register at least 30 days in prior to the next meeting.  Interested parties can also learn of Desert Advisory Council meetings through the following website: http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/info/rac/dac.html
