Firewood Cutting Area Open in King Range

Firewood cutting will be allowed at a designated area in the King Range National Conservation Area beginning April 1, and continuing until fire restrictions are put in place in mid-summer.
Permits, which cost $10 per cord, are available at the Bureau of Land Management King Range Project Office in Whitethorn, or the BLM Arcata Field Office, 1695 Heindon Rd., Arcata.  There is a two-cord minimum.
The BLM provide maps and wood cutting stipulations to permit purchasers.
