Bizz Johnson Trail Shuttle Begins June 7

Hikers, cyclists and joggers can celebrate National Trails Day with a special Bizz Johnson Trail bus shuttle on Saturday, June 7.  The trails day event is the first of three special shuttles scheduled this year.
The shuttles allow people to arrange one-way trips on the trail without having to plan their own vehicle shuttles.
A Lassen Rural Bus shuttle will depart from the Susanville Railroad Depot on Richmond Road at 8:30 a.m., making stops at Devil’s Corral, Fredonyer Pass and Mason Station enroute to its final stop at the Westwood Trailhead.
Shuttle users should be at the Susanville Depot a half-hour before departure to allow time for bicycle loading.
Depending on the stop, hikers and mountain bikers can use the trail for return trips that are 7, 12, 18, 25 or 30 miles in length.  Bus fares vary depending on the stop.
The shuttle service, a partnership of the Bureau of Land Management and Lassen Rural Bus, will also be offered Sunday, Oct. 5, during the Rails to Trails Festival, and Saturday, Oct. 25, for the annual Fall Colors Ride.
