News ReleaseFor Release: April 16, 2008 Burn Permits Required for Northeast California May 1, Available at BLM OfficesPermits will be required for all outdoor burning projects beginning May 1 throughout California. In Northeast California, Bureau of Land Management offices in Alturas, Cedarville and Susanville will issue permits during regular office hours, Monday through Friday.
Fire officials stressed that burn permit holders can be charged for fire suppression costs if their negligence results in a fire getting out of control.
