BLM Plans Several Prescribe Burn Projects This Fall, Winter and Spring

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Bishop Field Office is proposing to implement several prescribed fire projects for habitat improvement and hazardous fuels reduction.

The projects are located near Conway Summit, Dog Creek, Rancheria Gulch, Trench Canyon, Fish Slough and River Spring.  Treatments will consist of  broadcast and pile burning. The projects will be implemented this fall, winter and spring when vegetation moisture and weather conditions are within prescription to accomplish a safe burn and to meet project objectives.
