Environmental Assessment to Relinquish Grazing Lease Available for Public Review
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office, is seeking public comment on the Environmental Assessment: CA-660-07-26; Perennial and Ephemeral Livestock Grazing Lease Relinquishment for Whitewater Canyon Grazing Allotment. A 30-day comment period will run through August 1, 2007.
The BLM is proposing to accept the voluntary relinquishment of the Whitewater Canyon allotment grazing lease under the grazing prescriptions contained in the Coachella Valley Plan Amendment (CDCACV) to the California Desert Conservation Area Plan and the associated biological opinion. The allotment becomes unavailable for livestock grazing based on the CDCACV Plan and the associated biological opinion. These actions affect livestock grazing on this allotment entirely within the Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office.
