Nominations Being Accepted for Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Advisory Committee

The Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service announce an extension to the call for nominations for appointment or reappointment
for the following five positions on the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Advisory Committee: representative and
alternate for the City of Palm Springs;

  • representative and alternate for the City of La Quinta;
  • representative and alternate for a local developer or builder organization;
  • representative and alternate for a local conservation organization;
  • and representative and alternate for the California Department of Fish and Game or the California Department of Parks and Recreation.

Nomination applications may be picked up from the Bureau of Land Management Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office at 690 W. Garnet Avenue,
or requested by telephone at (760) 251-4800, facsimile at (760) 251-4899, or email jfoote@ca.blm.gov.  An electronic PDF version is available for downloading on the National Monument Web page at http://www.blm.gov/ca/palmsprings/santarosa/mac-nominations.html.

All completed applications must be received or postmarked no later than February 16, 2007. Applications may be delivered in person to the
address above, or mailed to the Monument Manager, c/o Bureau of Land Management, P.O. Box 581260, North Palm Springs, CA 92258.
