BLM Office to Temporarily Close While Moving to New Location

The Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Needles Field Office is moving from its current location at 101 West Spikes Road in Needles to its new office located at 1303 South U.S. Highway 95 in Needles, just two blocks north of its current address.

The office will be officially closed for business from August 14 through August 21 as staff move into the new building. Telephone service as well as the availability of staff will be interrupted during the move. However, the 24 hour Federal Interagency Communications Center (909-383-5652) will remain operational during this time. The field office's current telephone number for general information (760) 326-7000 and business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday will remain the same once the move is complete.

"We anticipate the move to affect the public for a little over a week," said Larry Morgan, BLM Needles Field Office manager. "After that we hope to be back to normal operations and look forward to serving our customers at our new location."

The new 10,000-square foot office will offer improved facilities for the public and BLM staff. The BLM Needles Field Office administers 3.3 million acres of federal lands in eastern San Bernardino County.
