Meeting to Discuss Round Mountain Plan

There will be a public meeting of the Round Mountain Planning Group on Wednesday, November 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Diamond Arrow Conference Center in Nevada City to discuss the Round Mountain/Rock Creek management plan, and its implementation. The Diamond Arrow Conference Center is located at the intersection of North Bloomfield Road and Rock Creek Road.

The management plan covers approximately 2,200 acres of federal public land between the South Fork Yuba River and Nevada City. The plan was developed by the local community in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management, and officially adopted in 2004. The goals of the plan include reducing the wildfire hazard, maintenance of open space, development of a mature forest, management of outdoor recreation, and resource protection. Public lands along the South Yuba River are not covered by this plan.
