Firefighting vets back from their first wildfire

BLM California’s all-veteran Folsom Lake Hand Crew has just completed its first assignment – at the Mill Fire on the Mendocino National Forest. The 20-person crew was mobilized on July 11 and sent to the fire.  The fire burned 29,502 acres near Stonyford, Calif., and is now 100% contained.  The crew is now back in station and will continue training, and will remain available as a national firefighting resource.
