ESYCC to work with the BLM again this summerThe Eastern Sierra Youth Conservation Corps (ESYCC) along with the BLM Bishop Field Office, will conduct public lands projects for two weeks this summer. The primary mission of the ESYCC is to provide 16-18 local students with opportunities for success through job skills training, education and work experience- with an emphasis on conservation. This summer the YCC crew will perform habitat restoration project work on the Bishop field office lands. This is our fifth summer season working with the YCC 8 crew members. "This is an extremely successful program," said Becky Hutto of the BLM. "It helps give our local youth a direction in possible future outdoor resource management, range conservation and botany experience, along with insights into several other career opportunities with the BLM."
