BLM mustangs join U.S. Marine Corps Color GuardSgt. D.M. Cole and CPL. E. Ryan of the United States Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard visited the BLM's Palomino Valley Wild Horse and Burro Center in Sparks, Nevada on January 11. The Color Guard picked out two palomino mustangs. On January 12 the U.S.M.C. Mounted Color Guard traveled to The Litchfield Corrals and picked out three palominos. Arrangements are being made to transport the three mustang from Litchfield to Palomino Valley and then to the Northern Nevada Correctional facility in Carson City, for the inmates to train. The U.S. Border Patrol from the San Diego Sector also recently adopted a mustang trained by the inmates.
