Camp Smokey at the California State Fair

Every year thousands of families visit the California State Fair, and every year Camp Smokey, an interagency fire prevention exhibit, is a favorite among fairgoers. The display is so popular because it is both educational and enjoyable for the whole family. The display teaches children about fire prevention awareness and safety.

The Bureau of Land Management is a partner in Camp Smokey with the California Department of Forest and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and other federal, local and private cooperators. (text continues below)
