BLM honors dispatcher for support during shooting incident

Law enforcement officers from several agencies recently gathered to congratulate dispatcher Katey Lewis as she was honored "for exceptional professionalism and service as a USFS dispatcher supporting the BLM law enforcement program."  From left are:  Kelley Merritt, Susanville Policy Department;  Troy Bolen, BLM-California special agent in charge;  Katey Lewis, dispatcher, Susanville Interagency Fire Center; Carman Prisco, BLM law enforcement ranger, Alturas; Dave Woginrich and Dave Martin, Lassen County Sheriff's Department; Brent Rangle, BLM-California assistant special agent in charge.  Prisco, along with the officers from the Susanville and Lassen County departments, were working as part of a Lassen County drug enforcement unit when they came under fire from suspected marijuana growers.  See the news release.
