Mustangs adopted in SalinasMustang lovers braved the cool, overcast weather Saturday to adopt five mustangs at the Bureau of Land Management’s wild horse and burro adoption in Salinas. (text continues below)
The horses adopted included Millie, a halter project by BLM volunteer Becky Delaney. The next adoption in California will be July 11 at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp. About 30 Mustangs and burros will arrive the afternoon of July 10 and be available for adoption from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 11.
